Harold Lanning is a WWII army veteran who served from 1944 to 1946 in the Special Service Entertainment Branch. Harold performed at USO Shows in Hawaii and the Pacific Rim with the late Allen Ludden; who some of you may remember as the host of the popular television game show Password for nearly 20 years and the husband of actress Betty White. Harold is no stranger to singing the anthem at events in the Detroit area, including VE Day and VJ Day ceremonies on behalf of The Michigan WWII Legacy Memorial and also at Comerica Park.
